My background is in microbiology and bioinformatics. During my PhD (Max Planck Institute for Biology, Tübingen) I explored interactions between human gut microbes. Now, I am using reinforcement learning models to investigate the assembly of microbial communities and fight pathogens.

I am part of the ML Cluster of Excellence at the University of Tübingen and I collaborate with the Autonomous Learning group (Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Tübingen) and the Systems Biology of Microbial Communities lab (Ratzke lab, University of Tübingen).
