I did my PhD in the Empirical Inference department and at the University of Tübingen, supervised by Bernhard Schölkopf.
My work focuses on representation learning theory and causal inference, as well as on the development of estimation algorithms. I am also interested in applications to neuroimaging and beyond.
In my PhD, I took part in an ELLIS exchange with the Parietal team within Inria-CEA, hosted by Bertrand Thirion and Aapo Hyvärinen. During the exchange, I worked on novel linear and nonlinear models for independent component analysis and estimation.
I also worked as an Applied Science Intern at Amazon Research Tübingen, under the supervision of Dominik Janzing.
I am broadly interested in causality, and how causal modelling and reasoning help interpret and understand real-world phenomena. Additionally, I am interested in exploring connections between machine learning and causality.
I am also interested in statistical physics. During my master, I took part in an international program on the Physics of Complex Systems between Politecnico di Torino and Université Paris-Sud (now Paris-Saclay).
