Haoran Yun

Perceiving Systems Guest Scientist Alumni

Haoran Yun is a third-year PhD student at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where she is supervised by Nuria Pelechano and Carlos Andujar. She is at MPI as a visiting PhD student from April-July 2023. She is also an Early Stage Researcher in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network CLIPE project. Previously, Haoran received an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

Her primary research interests are in the areas of character animation, Virtual Reality, and machine learning. She is particularly interested in developing real-time adaptive models for animating virtual characters in interactive VR applications. Her research aims to bridge the gap between real and virtual human behavior by creating virtual agents that can mimic human behavior.
