Max Planck & Amazon Science Hub Inauguration

On December 12 and 13, 2022, Amazon and the Max Planck Society (MPG) will jointly host an inauguration event, celebrating the launch of our new collaboration, the Max Planck & Amazon Science Hub, and bringing together our research communities.

 Announced in May of this year, the Science Hub’s goals are to advance the state-of-the-art in domains ranging from AI to sustainability to automated reasoning. Join us for this two-day event featuring keynote and lightning talks, breakout discussions and networking.

This event will be held in Tübingen, Germany at the Amazon Facility STR10 on Monday, December 12th, and MPI-IS Tübingen Campus on Tuesday, December 13th. Confirmed speakers include:

  •  Michael Black, Director, Perceiving Systems, MPI for Intelligent Systems
  •  Larry Davis, Sr. Principal Scientist, Amazon Softlines
  •  Moritz Hardt, Director, Social Foundations of Computation, MPI for Intelligent Systems
  •  Markus Reichstein, Director Department Biogeochemical Integration, MPI for Biogeochemistry
  •  Alex Smola, VP/Distinguished Scientist, AWS Deep Learning

The program will begin on Monday, Dec 12th at 10:30am CET and end on Tuesday, December 13th at 3pm CET.
