My name is Arash Mehrjou. My research lies at the intersection between machine learning, control theory and causality under supervision of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Schölkopf. Prior to MPI, I recieved bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Tehran in Electrical Engineering (Control) followed by a period of independent research at Institute for Physics and Mathematics(IPM). I'd like to find undelying connections among seemingly different theories. During my doctoral studies, I was fortunate to do internships as research scientist in Microsoft Research, Google, and DeepMind.
