Tim Xiao

Empirical Inference Collaborator

I am working on scalable reasoning algorithm for large language models, in particular, the framework called Verbalized Machine Learning. My background includes probabilistic modelling, Bayesian deep learning, and deep learning.

Currently, I am working at the Empirical Inference department with Prof. Bernhard Schölkopf. I am a visiting PhD student from the University of Tübingen supervised by Robert Bamler. Previously, I did a MRes Computational Statistics and Machine Learning at UCL with David Barber and a MSc in Computer Science at the University of Oxford with Yarin Gal. Prior to that I studied computer science at the University of Manchester for my Bachelor's degree.
