Prof. Dr. Rahmi Oklu (Mayo Clinic Arizona)
Professor and Chair of Vascular Interventional Radiology
Dr. Oklu is a Professor and Chair of Vascular Interventional Radiology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He established and directs the NIH funded Minimally Invasive Therapeutics Laboratory with a focus on translational research. He received his BS degree from Yale University, PhD in Biochemistry from University of Cambridge and his MD degree from Northwestern University. Following the completion of residency training in surgery/radiology at Columbia University-NY Presbyterian Hospital, he moved to Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School to do his clinical fellowship and to remain as faculty. He reached the rank of Assistant Professor at MGH and, after five years, was recruited to Mayo Clinic. Dr. Oklu is a standing member of the NIH Bioengineering, Technology, and Surgical Sciences (BTSS) Study Section.
