News 02-01-2019 Jan Peters elected IEEE Fellow Prof. Dr. Jan Peters, Head of the Robot Learning Group at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and Professor for Intelligent Autonomous Systems at the Department of Computer Science at the Technical University of Darmstadt, was appointed IEEE Fellow. He is honored for his important contributions to machine learning for robots to acquire motor skills. This work is of outstanding importance for current developments in artificial intelligence in two areas, autonomous robotics and machine learning, in particular reinforcement learning.
