In honour of the 70th anniversary of the Max Planck Society, the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize award to Max Planck and Max Planck’s 160th birthday, the Max Planck Society will hold a Germany-wide Max Planck Day on September 14, 2018.
On this occasion, the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen has organised a symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Society hosted by Bernhard Schölkopf. It will take place from 01:00 - 6:00 pm at the Kupferbau of Universität Tübingen in the lecture hall HS 25.
The event will address topics of the Cyber Valley and link them with a social discourse. There will be talks by Thomas Hofmann (ETH Zurich), Michael Bolle (Robert Bosch GmbH), Ralf Herbrich (Amazon), Sandra Wachter (Oxford Internet Institute), Sarah Spiekermann (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Andreas L. Paulus (Federal Constitutional Court) and a panel discussion.
