My primary research focuses on bringing climate models (computer simulations) of extreme past climates into alignment with the geological evidence that exists for these periods. As a guest of the Haptic Intelligence department, I will be interacting with department members who also work with complex dynamic simulations and data to cross-pollinate ideas across fields. I will also investigate the suitability of virtual reality, augmented reality, and haptic feedback to aid scientific inquiry in climate modeling.
