Machine learning is required to solve critical problems that face humanity. Many issues require algorithms that learn with the efficiency and flexibility of humans. My passion and long term goal is to extend machine learning to achieve this human-level intelligence. Along the way, I hope we learn more about how humans think and produce useful technology to benefit humanity.

To achieve this, I believe we must create a high level semantic and logical thought space and I believe that disentanglement and causal inference will play a role.
